Stepping Out

Stepping Out the musical returns to the West End's legendary Vaudeville Theatre for spring 2017, an eagerly awaited transfer that has already thrilled provincial audiences. And it stars one of the nation's best-loved personalities, Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, in the leading role as Vera. The show follows the lives of seven women and one man as they do their best to tap-dance their problems away at a weekly dance class in a gloomy North London church hall. It's beautifully directed by the talented Maria Friedman, three-time Olivier Award winner and producer of 2012's highly acclaimed stage show, Merrily We Roll Along.

Every member of the cast has a tale to tell. And they do so with considerable panache. This brand new production also stars Angela Griffin from Coronation Street and One Man, Two Guvnors plus Tracy-Ann Oberman from East Enders and Boeing-Boeing. Plus Tamzin Outhwaite, another ex-East Enders star and respected stage actress, and the excellent ex-Brookside actress Nicola Stephenson, who also played a legendary part in the stage show War Horse. The result is both heart-warming and uplifting, very funny and a huge treat for anyone who loves feel-good musicals.
